Bigfoot Footage Proves Existence Of Mysterious Creature, Researchers Claim
Bigfoot footage collected by a group of researchers may once and for all prove the existence of the mysterious creature.
The revelation comes from a group of Sasquatch hunters who say they have more than 100 pieces of evidence pointing to the existence of Bigfoot. The evidence includes “never before seen” footage of the giant creature, they say.
But, this is not a group of crackpot conspiracy theorists. Dr. Melba Ketchum, who has been leading a group of researchers in what is known as the Sasquatch Genome Project, is working on high-tech analysis of DNA samples. The work, which in total costs $500,000, has concluded that Bigfoot is a human relative dating back 13,000 years.
Ketchum said she at first viewed the project with skepticism, but through “serious study” has come to the conclusion that Bigfoot is real and living in North America.
“They’re a type of people, they’re a human-hybrid, we believe. And all of the DNA evidence points to that. And they can elude us, so if you get [footage] at all, it can be fleeting,” Ketchum told ABC affiliate WFAA. She added that the DNA, which came from hair samples, had unique characteristics that set it apart from human and animal samples.
The group revealed some of their findings this week, including Bigfoot footage from across America. One of the clips reportedly shows footprints in Colorado that belong to Bigfoot.
Not everyone is taking the effort seriously. Todd R. Disotell, a professor at the Department of Anthropology at New York University, told ABCNews.com that Ketchum is engaging in “junk science” and that she doesn’t know how to correctly interpret the evidence she does have.
“She is a laughing stock of people that are of a community that are already kind of wacko,” Disotell said.
Eric Berger, a science blogger for the Houston Chronicle, said he studied Ketchum’s findings and found that the evidence was inconclusive. He noted that the findings were only published in the DeNovo Journal of Science, which had been created just a week before the paper was published.
The Bigfoot footage released by the researchers includes shots of the creature walking through wooded areas, and one close-up shot of a face with sharp teeth.
