Angelina Jolie Wears New Ring, Rekindles Wedding Rumors

Angelina Jolie wore a new ring while she hung out at Bondi Beach in Australia with her kids this weekend. The new band rekindled rumors that the actress secretly wed fiancé Brad Pitt.

Jolie and Pitt announced their engagement in April 2012, but haven’t disclosed any details of the actual ceremony. The lack of information has led to several rumors in the past year of the place and day the Hollywood power couple were supposed to wed.

There have also been several rumors suggesting the pair were wed in secret, much like Kerry Washington, Zoe Saldana, and Blake Lively, to name a few.

Since her engagement to Brad Pitt, Angelina has worn a few different rings on the all-important left ring finger. She started out with a ring that had large diamonds. However, she swapped the larger ring for a simple gold band in time for a charity trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda.

At the time, the simple gold band sparked rumors that Angelina and Brad tied the knot. However, the actress was quick to deny the rumors when confronted by reporters, responding, “No, it’s not.” But she declined to elaborate on what it meant.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been together since 2005. Since then, they have traveled the globe together and had six children. They have also been hinting that a wedding is coming really soon (if it hasn’t happened already). Pitt commented in November 2012, “The time is nigh. It’s soon. I got a good feeling about it.”

Pitt also stated that he’s the one planning the details of the wedding. Whether they have been married or not, 2013 was a very emotional year for the couple. Jolie announced this summer that she underwent a preventative mastectomy earlier this year, because she has a gene that makes her more likely to develop breast cancer.

When the news came out about the operation, Pitt commented of the journey, “It’s been an emotional and beautifully inspiring few months. My most proudest thing is our family. This isn’t going to get that.”

It’s not clear whether Angelina Jolie’s new ring is a sign the couple married. However, we’re sure the news will come soon.
