Emmy Winning ‘The Simpsons’ Character To Get Killed Off This Season
The Simpsons cast will get a little smaller next season. Executive producer Al Jean recently revealed that one of the show’s famous characters will be getting killed during the show’s historic 25th season.
Jean didn’t say which character it would be, but he did say that the actor who played the character has won an Emmy on the show.
Jean told The NY Post:“I’ll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character, but I won’t say who it is.”
That isn’t really that big of a hint. Dozens of Emmy awards have been handed over to the voice actors onThe Simpsons over the years.
Anne Hathaway was the show’s most recent winner for the character Princess Penelope. Kelsey Grammar has also won an award for playing Sideshow Bob. The voices behind Comic Book Guy, Chief Wiggum, Edna Krabappel and Abe Simpson have also won awards over the years.
Who do you think will get killed off this year?
I don’t have any inside information, but I am going to venture a guess. The Simpsons will lose Sideshow Bob. The clown is an iconic part of the show, but he also isn’t a regular in Springfield. Also, how many more times can Sideshow Bob really try to murder Bart?
My guess? Slideshow Bob will suffer a death by rakes.
Who do you think will get killed off on The Simpsons? Kristin Wiig guest starred on the season premiere of the animated show last summer. Here’s a trailer for the “Homerland” episode.
