Rob Schneider Blames Career Slowdown On Democrats [Video]
Actor Rob Schneider hasn’t made any films in California lately for one simple reason: Democrats.
In a short video with California Assemblyman Tim Donnelly and Politichicks reporter Ann-Marie Murrell Monday, the Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo actor claimed that he hasn’t worked on a film in California in a whopping seven years thanks to hard Democratic dominance in state elections.
Donnelly is a Republican gubernatorial hopeful whom Schneider stumps for in the video, calling the “supermajority” of Democrats in California and utter “mess.”
“The state of California is a mess,” Schneider said in the video, continuing, “and the supermajority of Democrats is not working. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat and I have to switch over because it no longer serves the people of this great state. We need to have a new voice. We need to have a new direction, and we need to break the supermajority. It isn’t helping with jobs.”
Schneider said that he is jumping parties because of the toll California’s politics has taken on his career.
“The last time I made a movie in California was seven years ago,” he said. “And that’s because we’re not being competitive. I own a vitamin company with my friend and we moved out of state because of overregulation. It isn’t helping businesses.”
“Another four years of a Democratic administration will be a disaster, as it already has been,” he said.
Rob Schneider’s party hopping was followed by an official endorsement for Donnelly as governor. And here I thought we hadn’t seem him because he couldn’t find a studio to produce Deuce Bigalow 3.
