Michael Jordan: I Would Beat LeBron James, Kobe Bryant Stole My Moves
Who is the greatest basketball player of all-time? It’s a barroom debate that has been going on for decades and occasionally someone like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, or LeBron James will pitch in their two cents.
In a new promo for NBA 2K14, Jordan talks about how he would fare in a one-on-one game against some of the game’s greatest players.
Carmelo Anthony? No problem. Julius Erving? With ease. LeBron James? Don’t waste His Airness’ time with such silly questions.
Michael Jordan said that he would have loved to play against players like Dwayne Wade, Jerry West, and Elgin Baylor during his prime. Unfortunately, he’ll never get that chance.
But that doesn’t mean that Jordan isn’t confident about his winning abilities. Jordan said that he doesn’t see himself losing to any NBA player from any generation in a one-on-one game. Well, except for Kobe Bryant.
But even Kobe gets an asterisks next to his name.
Jordan said: “I don’t think I would lose… Other than to Kobe Bryant because he steals all of my moves.”
Jordan won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls and is considered by many to be the greatest player to ever pick up a basketball. Of course, that’s a debate that will never officially have an answer.
Here’s another video of Jordan proudly proclaiming that he’s the “greatest player in the world.” He does give LeBron credit for being the best high school player.
Do you think Jordan would beat LeBron and Kobe in his prime? He might not have a chance now but he can still dunk at age 50.
