Kaley Cuoco: Ryan Sweeting Proposal Started With An Argument
The whirlwind romance between actress Kaley Cuoco and tennis player Ryan Sweeting ended up in an engagement last week, but apparently Kaley was completely thrown off by Sweeting before proposing.
After making just their first red carpet appearance for the Emmys last Sunday, news came that the couple was engaged in what was a shock to many.
You see, Cuoco and Sweeting haven’t been dating for very long at all. They reportedly met on a blind date in July and haven’t looked back since.
Apparently he played coy on the special night, “[He] actually started a little fight with me and threw me off,” The Big Bang Theory star told Entertainment Tonight‘s Rocsi Diaz on Monday.
This made Kaley panic thinking things weren’t good between them.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, things aren’t great,'” Cuoco, 27, admitted. “He surprised me at the end of the night … [when] he popped the ring out. It was amazing.”
Kaley Cuoco briefly dated Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill at the beginning of summer right after his film had opened in theaters. There were photos in several magazines showing the two grocery shopping together, in what seemed to be at the time, a relationship that would last.
But it was not to be so. The two split shortly after those photos were published and Henry Cavill recently said the pressure of being in the public eye 24/7 were the cause of the break up. Reports are that the two remain friends.
Cuoco admits that it appears to be a “little crazy” from the outside. The fact that they haven’t been together for so long and now the sudden engagement is a bit unusual.
“From day one I just knew immediately and it’s been magic. We have all the same family friends. We grew up with the same people, we just never met,” Kaley Cuoco gushed. “I know that it seems a little crazy on paper, but it’s what works for us.”
