Kanye West To Paparazzi: ‘I Understand You Have To Make A Living’

Contrary to popular belief there are some celebrities that make nice with paparazzi, while they’re being pursued. Of those celebrities, rapper Kanye West isn’t the first person that comes to mind. West uncharacteristically made peace with a French paparazzo while being hounded on Monday.

West and partner Kim Kardashian were spotted out on the streets of Paris, when West decided to spare a French paparazzo of his usual Kanye-like antics. This could be because West experienced a different kind of treatment from the paparazzi while out and about in Paris.

When the “I Am A God” rapper stepped out with Kardashian, he told the paparazzi to not ask any questions, and to just take video instead. The quiet photographers appeased Kanye’s requests, and the rapper seemed to be surprised by their cooperation. Usually West has to body slam paparazzi in The States before they comply with his requests.

West, never shying away from being vocal, thanked the paparazzi, having said to the French photographers:

“I like how you guys, like, move out here. You’ve got like total respect for yourselves, have respect for the people that you’re photographing.”

West continued, commenting that the paparazzi in France have lives outside of their photographing schedule, and don’t stalk in the same way the American paparazzi usually does. Kanye said that the French photographers, “take time off,” continuing, “Like, at 8 o’clock, you’re not around peoples’ houses, so, I just really appreciate and respect that.”

Kanye West even seemed to have gratitude by engaging with the French photographers some more, having said:

“I understand that you have to make a living. So I appreciate [the respectfulness].”

During the exchange he singled out the paparazzo by shaking his hand. In other run ins with the paparazzi, West has gotten violent due to the lack of respect from photographers that ignore his wishes by asking personal questions about his life with Kim Kardashian, and their daughter North.

Just recently Kanye West was charged with battery in his scuffle with a paparazzi on July 19. Perhaps Kanye West has had a change of heart?
