‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ Has A New Banner, Trailer No. 2 Coming
The second installment in Peter Jackson’s trilogy The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug has released a new banner. Rejoice!
As the premiere day approaches, the second installment in the series and sequel to An Unexpected Journey, will start the PR machine, this is one but many new images we will see in the coming weeks and months.
The new banner shows some of the main characters who we met in the first part, Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit, portrayed by Martin Freeman, Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of the company of dwarves, played by Richard Armitage (North And South, Spooks), and a few of the other dwarves.
Desolation Of Smaug will continue the story started in the first part, in which the hobbit reluctantly joins the dwarves in their quest to reclaim their home, cruelly taken away from the evil Smaug the Dragon (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch).
Warner Bros. has also confirmed that a new trailer for The Hobbit is ready to hit on Tuesday at 9 am eastern time.
The first trailer shows many of the new characters we did not see the first time around such as Legolas (Orlando Bloom) Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly), Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), and Thranduil (Lee Pace).
J.R.R. Tolkien fans have been anticipating the new trailer for a while now and there was speculation as to when exactly it would hit.
The trilogy was shot on location in New Zealand for the past two summers and now Peter Jackson is getting the final product ready for movie houses around the globe.
One of the most anticipated characters who we have only seen a couple of peaks of, is Smaug. Jackson and the studio have done a superb job of keeping it under wraps and have only shown two teasers with the creature.
What are you looking forward to in the new trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug?
