Cher Never Hated Madonna, Just Thought She Was A B****

Contrary to popular belief, Cher never hated Madonna with an undying passion. However, she used to think that the singer was a “b****.”

The “Believe” singer recently took part in a Reddit AMA. During the session, someone asked Cher about her relationship with Madonna. Although rumors suggested the two couldn’t stand one another, the Moonstruck star said she never actually despised the Material Girl.

When asked if she hated Madonna, Cher replied:

“Madge, no. Actually I don’t. I never hated her, I just thought she was a b****. Actually I quite respect her. I think Madge might be one of the most amazing artists I’ve known. I don’t like everything she does, for sure, but she is always riding the crest of the wave. She always saw trends WAY before anyone else, and had great videos. So, besides saying ‘WTF is MDNA,’ I’m fine with it.”

If the singers’ rumored rivalry cost you years of sleep, then you can finally rest easy tonight. Apparently there’s no bad blood between the artists.

Cher is currently spreading the good word about her new album Closer To The Truth. According to the Daily Star, the singer had to drop her duet with Lady Gaga from the collection. The reason: The “Applause” singer wasn’t happy with the result.

“She just didn’t like it, so it was never going to come out. I was sad and disappointed but artists are artists and they like something or they don’t. It was definitely her choice but I’m feeling fine,” she reportedly told the outlet during a recent chat.

The singer’s first collection of tunes in over 10 years finally arrived on retail shelves last week (September 24). Closer to the Truth also marks the musician’s 26th studio effort.
