‘Transformers 4’: Michael Bay Shares First Image From The Sequel [Photo]
Michael Bay really hopes you’re excited for Transformers 4. To help get fans excited about the forthcoming sequel, the director shared an official image from the flick online.
The studio and the filmmaker haven’t revealed too many details about next year’s follow-up as of this writing. However, Bay recently dropped the first photo from the flick on Twitter to give fans something to chew on until the next promotional tidbit comes down the cinematic pipeline.
The only new info folks have received regarding Transformers: Age of Extinction came in the form of a leaked call sheet. However, it didn’t take long for representatives from Paramount Pictures to wipe any trace of the image and its contents from the internet.
Unfortunately for the studio, the damage is already done. In addition to revealing the names of a few choice characters, the call sheet confirmed the appear of the Dinobots.
Since fans of the original cartoon series were clearly excited about the transforming dinosaurs’ involvement with Michael Bay’s upcoming flick, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura decided to toss them a bone by officially confirming the Dinobots for Transformers 4.
“I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. The world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China’s vehicles,” the producer said.
Since there’s clearly interest in the big-budget sequel, Michael Bay decided to share the first official photo from the flick on Twitter. The image in question features stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Pletz, and Jack Reynor. Check out the new pic below.
In addition to Wahlberg, Pletz, and Reynor, the movie features Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, and T.J. Miller. The movie should arrive in theaters next summer.
