Kate Middleton, Prince William Announce Prince George To Be Christened October 23

Kate Middleton and Prince William have announced that their son Prince George will be christened on October 23.

According to the announcement by Clarence House, on Twitter, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will have the ceremony at St. James Palace.

Prince George will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby in the Chapel Royal at St. James.

The royal baby as George was known before his parents announced his name, was born on July 22, after what seemed to be weeks of speculation and much anticipation from the British subjects.

Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William are beloved public figures in their native England and as such, there was great interest and concern for the Duchess.

Since Prince George’s birth, the family has taken leave of London, first to her childhood home and where her parents still live, Bucklebury and later on to Anglesey, Wales, where William was stationed as a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force.

Kate Middleton and William have not made public announcements as to who the godparents to their child will be, but we do know that there are several.

Most expect at least Prince Harry, William’s brother and Kate’s sister, Pippa to be among the selected.

The royal family is getting ready to move into the newly renovated Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace soon and recently returned from a visit to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Balmoral Castle, Scotland.

Maybe the final details on the date for the christening took place at that meeting with the Queen, who was seen proudly displaying the official photo of the family.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are slowly resuming their official duties after taking some time off to get to know their baby, Prince George of Cambridge who is a little over two months old.
