Kenya Mall Attack Torture Claims Begin To Emerge
The Kenya mall attack left many dead, and more terrified as the al-Shabab terrorists ran through not only looking to kill, but according to new evidence, to torture and mutilate their victims.
According to USA Today, the terrorists who seized the Kenyan shopping mall for four days tortured, maimed and mutilated some of their 67 victims, “leaving a tattered scene of ghoulish, gruesome remains that investigators likened to scenes from a horror movie.”
For the light-hearted and squeamish, the following details are very gruesome.
As investigators began to make their way through the tattered remains of the building, the horror of what actually went down began to become a reality as they saw not only mountains of bodies everywhere, but other bodies left hanging from hooks and others dismembered.
USA Today reports that some victims had their eyes gouged out, and others have their throats slashed.
The Daily Bhaskar reported that men received the most brutal torture: “their eyes were gauged, finger nails removed with pliers, reported the doctors attending to the dead bodies of the victims. Some of the men were even castrated.”
One doctor wanted to remain anonymous as he described what he saw,
“You find people with hooks hanging from the roof. They removed eyes, ears, nose. Actually if you look at all the bodies, unless those ones that were escaping, fingers are cut by pliers, the noses are ripped by pliers.”
USA Today mentioned that allegations have been made that hostages had been raped and others beheaded, but could not be verified at this time.
The report continued on to say that some of the terrorists’ bodies had appeared to be burned by fellow extremists to help protect their identities.
Reports have stated that up to 15 terrorists are believed to have been involved int the attack.
USA Today stated that five had been killed and at least 10 have been arrested.
Samantha Lewthwaite, otherwise known as the “white widow” is also being considered a suspect in the Kenya Mall attack.
The Kenya mall torture was not only gruesome, but also showed just how extreme the al-Shabab terrorists are willing to go to get their message across.
