Bill Nye Is A Fan Favorite On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ [Video]
Bill Nye and his partner partner Tyne Stecklein haven’t been getting the best scores on Dancing With The Stars. For some people, that might mean immediate elimination. But for the Science Guy? Well, everyone loves the Science Guy.
Bill Nye has become a fan favorite on Dancing With The Stars and his fans may be able to keep him on the show for a few more weeks.
Nye and Stecklein scored a 14 out of 30 for their cha cha last week and only got 17-points for their Paso Doble on Monday. That put them near the bottom of the leader board and in danger of elimination.
But don’t underestimate the power of Bill Nye the Science Guy’s fans.
Brooke Burke-Charvet said: “I don’t think he’s going anywhere… And I love that. His dance went viral. It’s so huge. He has mad fans. I am in awe of him. He probably thinks he’s going home. But I don’t think so.”
Bill Nye spoofed his Mad Scientist act for his first Dancing With The Stars video and the routine went viral on YouTube. According to USA Today, it has been watched more than any other dance in the show’s history.
So who went home?
Hollywood Life reports that Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovsky, Bill Engvall and Emma Slater, and Keyshawn Johnson and Sharna Burgess were all close to getting eliminated. In the end, it was Keyshawn and Sharna who said goodbye.
Johnson said after the show: “For a guy [who] has never even bopped his head in the car … [Doing this show] is something amazing to me… I had the opportunity to learn … She’s an amazing choreographer.”
