PS4 Vs Xbox One: Sony Expects Millions Of Sales By March 2014

The PS4 vs Xbox One battle rages on, and Sony is expecting 5 million units sold by March 2014.

The tension is popping as the console war approaches, and it’s been stated that the PlayStation 4 already has victory in the bag, as previously reported by The Inquisitr . Of course Microsoft’s tendency to keep doing things seemingly without asking what the gamers want could just prove the point.

Others here at The Inquisitr have stated that from a developer’s point of view, the PS4 and Xbox One are both equally formidable. However, history has shown that it’s the gamers who decide the victor, not the developers. The PlayStation 4 has an arguably better processor, though the Xbox One has arguably better exclusives pining for game time such as Crimson Dragon , Forza Motorsport 5 , and Fighter Within . The battle could be close, though gamers are leaning heavily toward the PlayStation 4.

The PS4 and Xbox One console war may be over technically, with Sony seemingly winning just sitting back and watching Microsoft shoot themselves in the foot over and over. They already feel they have this battle won, as they have stated they expect to sell 5 million units by March 2014, while the Xbox One is being taken on tour alongside Major Nelson himself to help rally support for Microsoft’s side.

Even with a delayed launch in Japan (February), Sony feels confident that they can achieve the expected sales. Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House has stated, “ Our first priority is to satisfy our core users , but the possibilities of the PS4 will not end there, the PS4 will bring people together. Sony is now setting out to create a more vibrant entertainment eco-system.”

Microsoft is setting no goals as of yet, possibly not confident enough due to the rocky months prior to the Xbox One release. These last few months have been flooded with general ridicule, including the nickname “ Xbone ,” which Major Nelson has gone on record as saying is an insult to the work the Xbox One team has put into the console. The release of a TV spot that features nothing about video games hasn’t helped their reputation either.

This round between the PS4 and Xbox One seems to favor Sony, and their sales projections appear to agree with that.
