‘Enemy Of Man’: New Macbeth Movie Debuts First Official Image


Enemy Of Man is a new movie adaptation based on William Shakespeare’s tragedy, Macbeth and it hasn’t taken long for the studio to put up a new image along with a website and all the social media whistles.

The film stars Sean Bean (Game Of Thrones, Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters) in the title character of Macbeth, Rupert Grint (Harry Potter Saga), Jason Flemyng (X Men: First Class, Great Expectations), Charles Dance (Strike Back, Game Of Thrones), and James D’Arcy (HItchcock, Those Who Kill).

Still waiting for an announcement on who will be cast as Lady Macbeth, a central character to the story.

Enemy Of Man is directed by Vincent Regan (Snow White And The Hunstman, Strike Back). Producing are Steve Harvey (St. George’s Day), Roopesh Parekh (Da Vinci’s Demons), Regan and Jasper Smith (Playjam).

Enemy Of Man’s first caption as shared on the website is, “A war hero and the lure of ambition and descent into hell.”

Macbeth is story of a brave Scottish general, who receives a prophecy from three witches who tell him that one day he will become King of Scotland. This fuels his ambition and he stops at nothing to make the prediction come true.

Enemy Of Man is said to be a re-telling of the original and many classic movie adaptations from past years.

Macbeth has been portrayed by some renowned names such as Orson Wells (1948) and John Finch (1971). It has played on stage on countless occasions all around the globe.

This new version of Shakespeare’s classic, is scheduled to begin production in January 2014 with an estimated budget of £5,400,000.

It is believed that William Shakespeare wrote Macbeth, his shortest tragedy, sometime between 1603 and 1607, with the first on stage performance taking place around 1611.
