As Jason Statham nearly dies from filming a scene in Expendables 3, we can’t but admire his attitude.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Jason Statham will be featured in Fast and Furious 7 , likely as the bad guy based upon the end credits cameo from Fast and Furious 6.

Expendables 3 co-star Terry Crews explains how Jason Statham nearly drowns during filming a scene near the Black Sea:

“I had a near-death experience. We were doing a stunt and Jason Statham was driving the truck, and we were supposed to be on the back of this truck. For some reason we’re over there talking, sipping smoothies and he gets in the truck… We’re in Varna, Bulgaria, on the edge of the Black Sea, he literally was supposed to stop the truck, we [get out and] shoot the whole thing. Well, the truck doesn’t stop! The truck rolls over the dock, into the Black Sea with Jason Statham driving!”

As part of the Expendables 3 script, Terry Crews was supposed to be on the back of the truck. Terry Crews remembers thinking how, as an action star, he should be doing the macho thing and jumping in after to rescue Jason Statham from dying. Instead, he was a “heap on the ground” and crying out Jason’s name. The rest of the Expendables 3 set crew didn’t know what to do, with everyone panicking and scrambling around like ants.

But Jason Statham’s near death experience was short lived. Without anyone helping, or any special Hollywood props or equipment, Jason Statham rescues himself from nearly dying by breaking out of the truck and swimming back to the surface. It’s a good thing he didn’t wait for rescue, because the truck sank all the way to the bottom of the sea. After he dries off his clothes, Jason Statham was already to shoot the scene again.

After Jason Statham nearly dies, all Terry Crews can say is: “Let me tell you something, Jason Statham, he is a true bad, bad, badass… I couldn’t believe it!”
