Prince William, Prince Harry, Pippa Middleton Attend Wedding. Where’s Kate?
New dad Prince William, his brother Prince Harry, and Pippa Middleton all attended a wedding this Saturday. But where was Kate?
The trio were present for the wedding of James Meade and Lady Laura Marsham, which took place in Norfolk on Saturday, September 14. One noticeable absence was that of Kate Middleton, the new mother to Prince George of Cambridge, heir to the British throne.
According to a report in Telegraph, a source says that the new mom decided against attending because she is still breastfeeding little George and it would have been too much to be away from her son the night before and the day of the wedding, so she opted to stay behind.
“She would have loved to go but it just wasn’t possible.” the source added.
What was Kate Middleton doing in the meantime?
Not only taking care of her seven week old son at home in Kensington Palace, where the family has finally set up residence, but while Prince William, her sister, and brother-in-law Harry were partying it up at the wedding celebrations, Kate went shopping.
After doing her mommy duties, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted, later that afternoon, at her favorite department store, Peter Jones, purchasing some items for baby, as well as make-up for herself, and some home decor for the family’s new place.
Prince William has been more visible in recent weeks, appearing at several events in Wales and London. The couple made their first formal appearance last week.
Ever since giving birth, Kate Middleton has been lying low, first at her parents’ home in Bucklebury, where the couple took baby George right after the birth to recover from all the pregnancy stress and later to Anglesey in Wales, where Prince William completed his tour of duty with the Royal Air Force.
In the future, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be focusing their efforts, on behalf of the royal family, on the charitable organizations they both support.
