Peter Morton: Billionaire Dating Demi Moore Months After She Dated His Son

Peter Morton and his son have the same taste in women.

The billionaire restauranteur has reportedly started a relationship with actress Demi Moore, just a few months after Demi dated Peter’s son Harry.

Sources say the relationship between Harry and Demi was never too serious, and the couple split up back in May.

Now, Demi has her sights on another man in the Morton family, the 66-year-old Peter.

“They are into one another,” a source said. “(He) is very charismatic and she loves that about him. He’s a go-getter.”

Demi and Peter would seem to be a good fit. Both have three children, and both have been through some bitter divorces. Morton has been married twice before, and Demi Moore has ended marriages with actors Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher, with whom she is still working out the details of their divorce.

Demi Moore had a quick relationship between dating Harry and Peter Morton — she was with pearl diver Will Hannigan briefly — but has reportedly moved along quickly with her new man. Sources say Demi is “very grounded” with Peter and has already introduced him to her daughters.

Peter Morton is coming off a long-term relationship with Canadian model Linda Evangelista. The two appeared to be drifting apart in the months before their split, with Evangelista showing up to the CFDA Fashion Awards by herself. But it was difficult to tell the status of the relationship because the couple had been notoriously media shy.

There were no details as to why the couple split up, and a representative said they would “not comment on the private life of our clients.”

Linda and Peter Morton had actually split up once before, parting ways in 2010 after a series of arguments but reconciling within a few months.

Peter Morton made his fortune through his family business and some strategic investments. His father, Arnie, was the founder of the Morton’s Steakhouse chain, and Peter is the founder of the Hard Rock Cafe. He opened the first of the restaurant chain in London, and then in the early 1980s expanded to a number of major American cities.

Peter Morton sold the cafes for $410 million in 1995, but he retained the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He would sell that in 2006 for another $770 million.
