‘GTA V – The Musical’: A Hilarious Send-Up Of Video Game Obsession [Video]
A new video on YouTube, “GTA V – The Musical,” is a hilarious send-up of video game obsession.
Grand Theft Auto V is mere weeks away, and the hype is incredible. It is arguably the most anticipated sandbox action game this year, and Rockstar seems to be going out of their way to make the wait worth it. In some cases, information was leaked ahead of time giving us a taste of what is to come, like the world map as previously reported by The Inquisitr.
YouTube user AVbyte has been making musicals based on popular themes for a while now, with previous videos including “Facebook – The Musical” and “Breaking Bad – The Musical (How to Make Meth).” The most recent video uploaded two days ago was based on a game due to hit stores September 17, and gives us a parody on relationship strains surrounding video game obsession.
The YouTube video “GTA V – The Musical” begins with a zoomed-in TV and a scene from one of the games. A guy is staring at it and his girlfriend looks upset as she starts singing.
“GTA, a stupid game just took my man away. All he does is sit around all day and play.”
A brunette weighs in next, “GTA, our whole relationship has gone astray. He doesn’t listen to a word I say.”
Next we get the first woman, the brunette, and a third all singing together, “Screw GTA.”
The third woman with the short-cut hair starts in, “What a waste of time, this should be a crime, simulating psychopathic life.” The first woman walks behind with a bike up to her guy, “That’s right. Why don’t you spend some time outside, ride a real bike, go and get some light?”
The first brunette comes in again, “It’s really nice.”
Next we come back inside where “GTA V – The Musical” continues with the three woman again. “There’s just no use, useless stupid guys, it’s a hopeless fight, don’t know why we try.”
The guy with the backward hat comes in with his side, “GTA, the single greatest sandbox ever made.”
A guy with full hair lays on a couch and continues, “I have no problem laying ’round all day to play.”
The third guy in bed with the first woman sings, “GTA, don’t really care if I am getting laid, ’cause man we are definitely getting laid in GTA.”
The three guys starts raving, “There’s cars and bikes and trucks and planes, and guns and knives, and mines. Grenades! There’s skydiving and golf, and tennis and more. Whatever you want; activities galore.”
