Chloe Grace Moretz Says Her Gay Brothers Were Victims Of Bullying
Chloe Grace Moretz says her gay brothers were the victims of bullying when they were younger.
The Kick-Ass 2 star recently sat down with the folks at Seventeen magazine to discuss a number of topics. During their conversation, the actress mentioned that her siblings were often the object of ridicule because of their sexual orientation.
“I have two gay brothers and two straight brothers. And my gay brothers were treated horrifically until they grew up and understood how to deal with it,” she told the publication.
When it comes those around her, Chloe Grace Moretz said that she always puts family first in her life. This means that no one, be it bullies or boyfriends, is going to rock the proverbial boat while she’s around.
“My mom has always taught us that blood is thicker than water. We are the closest family ever and we are the most insane family ever. It may look weird to others, but to us, it’s life,” the 16-year-old explained.
The actress said that she doesn’t have any patience for bullies, particularly those who take aim at her brothers. If you feel the need to have a little fun at their expense, then she doesn’t want to have anything to do with you.
“I will delete you and I will block you, and you will not be a part of my life if you ever say anything bad about my brothers,” she warned potential bullies.
Moretz is currently busy promoting the upcoming remake of the classic horror flick Carrie. Based on the novel by Stephen King, the film tells the story of a high school student with telekinetic powers who turns the tables on her tormentors. In other words, the story hits very close to home for the actress.
