Jay Leno And Sharon Osbourne Had A ‘Fling’ In The 70s

Before she started dating Ozzy Osbourne, Sharron had a little fling with Jay Leno.

Sharon talked about her romantic past with the late night comedian on The Talk this week.

Sharon said: “It’s not like it’s a big dirty secret. When I was 25, I just moved to America… I didn’t know many people.”

Sharon said that her fling with Jay Leno happened in the late 70s. She knew Ozzy at the time but they hadn’t started dating yet.

Osbourne continues: “I had met my husband [Ozzy], but we weren’t together. We were just friends. I didn’t have a boyfriend. I never did date a lot at that time, anyway, because I was not very dateable.”

So how did her romance with Leno start? Well, apparently it was a prank phone call that sparked their passion.

Osbourne said that she saw Jay Leno perform at a club one night and she told her friend that she thought he was cute. So, naturally, they decided to prank call him.

Sharon apparently kept calling Jay after that and eventually they started dating.

Sharon said: “He liked my voice… One thing led to another. He came to my house and met me and then we had a little fling. The fling was more fling for me and not fling enough for him. (It was) flingy-wingy.”

The relationship didn’t last long as Jay would soon fall in love with his future wife Mavis.

Still, Jay and Mavis kept in touch with Sharon and they are all still friends today.

Sharon said: “(Mavis) was lovely and they took me to Fat Burger and they showed me around town. They were so kind to me and continued the friendship over the years.”
