Vogue’s Anna Wintour Cancels Miley Cyrus’ Cover After Twerking Fiasco, [Rumor]
We are all probably tired of hearing about Miley Cyrus and her twerking fiasco at the VMAs. However, the repercussions of her little number are catching up to her. Anna Wintour, Vogue Magazine’s editor, wasn’t impressed and has cancelled her cover issue.
That can’t be good for misguided Miley, who thinks that she and Robin Thicke made “history” the night of the MTV Video Music Awards, during which she did some pretty outrageous things on stage.
Among those things, she simulated sex acts as she played with the foamy No. 1 hand she was carrying around, she ground her behind against Thicke’s privates, and she fondled him with said foam hand.
Now it seems she’s paying the price for what many believe is unacceptable antics in front of a live audience.
According to British publication The Daily Mail, Cyrus was scheduled to be featured in the December issue of Vogue, but after the British editor Anna Wintour saw the scandalous performance, she decided to kill the appearance. Ouch.
“Anna found the whole thing distasteful,” a source told the British paper. “She decided, based on Miley’s performance, to take the cover in a different direction.”
Which probably means that the former Disney star won’t be featured in the magazine the way she was supposed to.
Shine Yahoo believes the story to be factual, even though there has been no comment from either the magazine, nor the embattled Cyrus.
The report was that Miley Cyrus was to appear in the coveted Vogue cover as part of the promotion of her new album Bangerz. It’s no secret that the singer is very interested in fashion and having the chance to be in the cover would have been incredible PR for her album.
But it seems that her twerking is not paying off on all quarters, even though artists such as Jay Z and Justin Timberlake have come to Miley Cyrus‘ defense, Anna Wintour was not impressed according to several sources.
