Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Hubby Goes Into Protector Mode, Allegedly Scuffles With Paps

As The Inquisitr reported earlier, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s baby daddy and fiance is not having the best week ever — and the boyfriend of the mama-to-be went into full-on protective mode after intrusive paps hassled the actress.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, 34, and Client List co-star Brian Hallisay are expecting the former Party Of Five star’s first baby together, and the pair went on one of those last dates before baby Friday night.

Hewitt is in her third trimester of pregnancy, and if you’re a parent, you know that’s when the looming need for a sitter not too far in the future comes all too quickly into focus. She and Hallisay dined at Brentwood’s Toscano, where the pair eventually ran into a camera-wielding paparazzo. Uh oh.

According to E!, the pregnant star and her partner were heading home when the snapping began in earnest, and the photog and her boyf came to blows:

“After asking the shutterbug to stop, apparently to no avail, Hallisay allegedly got physical with the pap, who claims he was injured near his eye after his camera supposedly hit his face during the confrontation.”

However, it turned out pretty okay for the photographer. Hewitt allegedly felt bad Hallisay got so annoyed and allowed him to get some coveted snaps of the with-child celeb.

Just a few weeks ago, Jennifer told Us that Hallisay is a doting daddy-to-be, enthusing:

“It’s really nice… I definitely am being super well supported. I definitely get foot rubs and I definitely get looked after in the craving department or if there is anything that I need.”

Hewitt added:

“He’s doing a great job taking care of me and supporting me.”
