‘Terminator 5’ Producers Eyeing Linda Hamilton, Michael Biehn [Rumor]
Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn are rumored to be reuniting for Terminator 5.
It’s been several decades since Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese have appeared on the big screen together. According to a recent batch of internet rumors, the original Terminator stars are reportedly being pursued for the upcoming sequel.
Although several outlets are reporting the news, apparently these Terminator 5 reports began with an article over at the Mirror. The website claims Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is very interested in roping Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn for the next installment.
It’s also being reported that star Arnold Schwarzenegger was offered a hefty $20 million paycheck to return to the franchise. Seeing all three Terminator stars together again would definitely help generate substantial interest in the follow-up.
According to Flickering Myth, the Terminator reboot will take place during the 50s. Fast and Furious 6 and G.I Joe: Retaliation star Dwayne Johnson will reportedly play a cyborg who travels back in time to murder Sarah Connor’s parents.
Since the movie takes place before her character is born, it’s unclear how Linda Hamilton will figure into the storyline. Writers Laeta Kalorgridis and Patrick Lussier are currently busy bringing the script to life.
As always, it’s best to approach these internet rumors with extreme skepticism. Considering the number of false reports that have surfaced as of late — Bryan Cranton as Lex Luthor is a fine example — take these Terminator 5 reports with a grain of salt until something official has been released.
The Inquisitr previously reported that production on the next movie in the series will begin at some point next year. The folks at Paramount Pictures are currently eyeing a June 2015 release date.
