Miley Cyrus has made the news again this week, after the second track from her latest album was released on Monday.
The complete new album, Bangerz , which is due for release on October 8 has 13 tracks in total including Cyrus’s summer anthem, We Can’t Stop . When the album is marketed it will also come in a deluxe edition featuring three bonus tunes. A press release noted that “this album marks a creative evolution for Miley.”
Wrecking Ball, was released on Monday morning along with a video which has caused some controversy in the media. Miley shows a more vulnerable side in the video and can been seen sitting stark naked on a giant wrecking ball.
Terry Richardson, the notorious fashion photographer, depicts Miley sitting on the pretty dirty ball and even tearing up at times. When not in her birthday suit , Miley is dressed in white, a theme she keeps throughout the album.
The second track has caused controversy not only because she is naked in it, but also due to the lyrics which appear to promote the use of drugs.
The Bangerz album is a real departure for Miley from her previous family-friendly image. She told Billboard, “I feel like I can really be myself. I really have more of a connection of who I am, and I feel like I can maybe express that more in my music now.”
On Saturday, the star appeared on the German TV show Schlag Den Raab . During the show Miley shocked the crowd once again, when she slapped the backside of a dwarf who was twerking on stage. Miley immediately took to her Twtiter account, Tweeting a pic of her posing with the Little People band .
