Dennis Rodman Reveals Name Of Kim Jong-Un’s Daughter
Dennis Rodman’s latest visit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has led to a new bit of information — the name of the leader’s daughter.
Kim’s wife, Ri Sol-Ju, appeared to be pregnant in several pictures last year and disappeared from public view for months. But despite the somewhat obvious pregnancy, North Korea made no mention of it.
However, Rodman was only too happy to reveal the information. The Huffington Post reports that the former basketball star revealed he held Kim’s daughter, Ju-ae, and also spoke with the reclusive leader’s wife.
Rodman added, “He’s a good dad and has a beautiful family.” Women are not normally at the forefront of North Korean politics, and it wasn’t even known that Kim had a wife until last summer.
And given the family’s traditional nature, it is unlikely baby Ju-ae will follow in her father’s footsteps. Instead, she may receive a position in government.
Along with speaking about Kim Jong-un’s daughter, Dennis Rodman also criticized President Barack Obama. ABC News notes that the former player believes Obama should have a relationship with North Korea.
Rodman commented, “Let’s have a conversation. Why Obama, you afraid to talk to Dennis Rodman? You’re not afraid to talk to Beyonce and Jay Z?… I’m pretty important now.”
Dennis Rodman also took some time to give Kim a pep talk about his way of leading He told the North Korean leader, “Your grandfather and your father did some bad things, but you are trying to change something.”
Rodman made it clear on Sunday that his only reason for going to North Korea was to visit with the country’s leader and his family. Reporters recently asked him if he was going to the reclusive nation to secure the release of American prisoner Kenneth Bae, who was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. Rodman denied the claim.
The NBA player hasn’t announced any further visits to see his friend Kim Jong-un, though another could take place again soon.
