Zach Galifianakis To Be A Dad, Really Soon

So Zach Galifianakis’ wife is pregnant, and the comedic actor is already taking his daddy duties seriously.

Not only did we just learn that Zach Galifianakis — who is very shielded about his real-life life — is going to be a dad, but apparently hardly anyone else knew either.

The quiet celeb hasn’t dished on the baby news, but Galifianakis’ wife Quinn Lundberg is said to be nearing delivery day — and Zach hung back from the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday for the premiere of his new film.

While You Are Here was screening at the big event, Zach was worried that if he went to the festival, he’d miss his baby’s arrival — but prior to that, the film’s writer/director Matthew Weiner says Galifianakis didn’t mention the whole daddy-to-be thing.

Weiner said:

“We literally found out on Friday… Zach is going to be the best dad in the world.”

According to entertainment news sources, no one filming You Are Here knew about the Galifianakis baby at all, making Zach’s no-show at the festival all the more a surprise — and the baby thing too.

In a statement, the comic actor’s manager said:

“[Zach Galifianakis] missed the premiere because his wife is very pregnant and about to give birth and he did not want to take the chance of not being in LA if she went into labor.”
