iPhone 5S Rumors: What To Expect On September 10

We are just two days away from the official iPhone 5S announcement from Apple. There are still multiple iPhone 5S rumors coming out and circulating despite the device unveiling being so close.

For those of you that have desperately been waiting for a new iPhone to come out, here are some of the iPhone 5S rumors which we expect to be proven correct on September 10.

iOS 7

One of the major iPhone 5S rumors, which is not even much of a rumor at this point, is that Apple will be launching iOS 7 at the same time as the iPhone 5S is released.

This seems almost definite since we know the 5S will be coming out with iOS 7. Whether or not there will be a delay between the new OS reaching the iPhone 5S and it reaching older devices has yet to be seen.

More iPhone 5S Colors

Unlike in previous years, Apple is likely going to offer more iPhone color variations. Among these new colors for the iPhone 5S will be gold, and potentially a graphite color as well.

The usual black and white versions will also be put onto the market.

iPhone 5S Fingerprint Sensor

Out of all the “cool” iPhone 5S rumors that have been going around, the idea that a fingerprint sensor would be included in the device is one of the most interesting.

Although there was very little to back up this rumor for quite a while, two pictures were recently leaked to the media and seemed to confirm that the iPhone 5S would have a fingerprint sensor.

The first picture showed what the actual sensor looks like, and the other revealed the packaging for the iPhone 5S. On the box, a silver ring–corresponding to the sensor–can be seen around the home button.

A Cheaper Version: The iPhone 5C

Outside of iOS 7, the potential for a cheaper iPhone 5C to be released alongside the iPhone 5S is one of the most significant changes from the way Apple usually does things.

Between SKUs, pictures, and other bits of information, the existence of the iPhone 5C has pretty much been confirmed. The main difference between the rumored iPhone 5C and the 5S is that it will be using a plastic shell in order to keep costs down.

On September 10, here is what you can most likely expect to see:

Apple will announce two new devices, the iPhone 5C and 5S, as well as iOS 7. The iPhone 5S will be very similar in terms of design to the iPhone 5 but will include some hardware upgrades.

Among those hardware upgrades will be camera improvements–particularly to help in low-light shooting–as well as a slightly improved processor.

More color options will be provided, so a black, white, gold, and graphite iPhone 5S can be expected.
