PlayStation 4 More Powerful Than Xbox One, Says Developer

The PlayStation 4 is more powerful than the Xbox One, says one developer.

In a series of tweets, Adrian Chmielarz (formerly the creative director of developer People Can Fly) stated that the PlayStation 4 is just a manlier system than the Xbox One. This of course continues the ongoing belief that Sony’s consoles are better than those from Microsoft.

Going back, we can definitely see a quality arc in Sony’s consoles as compared with the Xbox. The first Xbox was actually a solid piece of machinery, even though it was a monster in size, while the original PlayStation was known to break down and need to be replaced if it was used too often. Then came the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, in which the exact opposite was true. The Xbox 360 was prone to the classic “red ring of death,” while the PlayStation 3 ended up being the one that lasted as long as it was owned.

One possible clincher is that Developers have blamed the limitations of the Xbox 360 for the reason they haven’t made cross-platform titles look better.

It only makes sense on a logical level that as technology advances, the PlayStation 4 will probably be more powerful that the Xbox One. According to the former developer, it’s absolutely true, and if a former third-party developer is saying that, you can probably bank on it.

In response to the tweet, Microsoft reps simply replied, “Don’t know ’em.” This could indicate frustration at having their inadequacies pointed out so early on.

Now even if the PS3 was more powerful than its competition, that didn’t stop the Xbox 360 from gaining the upper hand for two simple reasons. The Xbox 360 had more games we wanted to play on it, and the PS3 was launched at a much higher price point.

It has yet to be seen publicly which console will outperform the other, but in the end it’s the games that sell the console. That is how it’s always been since the introduction of the NES and Sega Master System.

If the recent TV spot is anything to go by, Microsoft is forgetting about the games, as previously reported by The Inquisitr . We will have to wait until the consoles launch to see for ourselves what the end result is, but until then, we have a former developer’s word that the PlayStation 4 is more powerful than the Xbox One.
