Pokémon Black and White given U.S. launch date
Yes, it’s that time again. Time to sheepishly pick up the latest Pokémon game in the same year you turn 31, all while trying to shut out thoughts of how disappointed your father would be to see you like this.Shame, shame.
What I’m saying is: March 6th is the U.S. release date for Pokémon Black and Pokémon White.
That date means Black and White will release less than a year after the previous two Pokémon games, HeartGold andSoulSilver, first appeared in the States. It also means the games are likely to share a launch month with the Nintendo 3DS.
Black and White will add over 150 new Pokémon to the now-familiar catch-’em-all formula, including three new Starter Pokémon – Tepig, Oshawott, and Snivy. Furthermore, there’s a seasonal element to the games, with some Pokémon only appearing at certain parts of the year.
There’ll also be triple battles, rotation battles, and an in-game item that will let Nintendo DSi owners engage in audio- and video-chat with up to three other players (local or online). Here’s a freshly caught trailer:
