Bruno Mars To Perform At Super Bowl Halftime Show


Bruno Mars, one of the most popular modern artists will perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, in East Rutherford, New Jersey on February, according to a person close to the NFL entertainment division.

The person in question, spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the announcement is not official yet. Word will reportedly come at an event in Times Square on Sunday.

Super Bowl XLVIII will take place on February 2 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, also known as the Medowlands, the home of the New York Jets.

Bruno Mars is a Grammy winning performer and one of the most popular tickets in music today with hits such as “When I Was Your Man”, “Grenade”, “Just the Way You Are”, “Locked Out Of Heaven”, and many more.

The singer received a MTV Video Music Award for Best Male video a couple of weeks ago for his single “Treasure”.

Bruno Mars follows in the footsteps of some of the biggest names in music who have performed at past halftime shows in the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event in the US.

Beyonce was featured in this year’s halftime show, when she took the stage in New Orleans during the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens game.

Prior to that, the NFL presented Madonna in 2012, The Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash in 2011, The Who in 2010, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in 2009.

The regular football season started this past Thursday and Sunday will see the first full day of games of 2013.

This year’s Super Bowl is highly anticipated because of its close proximity to New York City, which is a hub for entertainment, fine dining, and luxurious hotels.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has commented about the buzz surrounding the event taking place in early 2014, saying “more buzz around this Super Bowl this year than any Super Bowl in its history.”

Bruno Mars’ live performance is expected to attract millions of viewers when he takes the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show.
