Justin Bieber, Juicy J Get Their Color On In Maejor Ali’s ‘Lolly’ Trailer [Video]
Justin Bieber got down to business in a big way on Saturday.
Hitting Twitter to announce that two of his “artists” singer-producer Maejor Ali and singer Madison Beer will be releasing videos within the next two weeks in support of singles, a teaser preview for Ali’s “Lolly” video has already hit the web.
“Lolly” features Justin and rapper Juicy J on rap verse chores. The Canadian superstar also assists on the mainly Ali-sung chorus.
The song has been floating around the Internet since February but only as audio.
Now, a video directed by Matt Alonzo is set to debut on September 17 and will be available to buy on iTunes the same day.
Detroit hitmaker Ali — formerly known as Bei Maejor — has produced artists including Sean Paul, Keri Hilson, and Iggy Azalea, and is now signed to Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun’s record label Schoolboy Records along with fellow Canadian star Carly Rae Jepsen.
Ali also produced “Twerk” — a record by Young Money rapper Lil Twist which features Bieber and Miley Cyrus. Formerly Bieber’s song, it was originally intended as a duet with Cyrus.
The track leaked on August 28, three days after the “We Can’t Stop” singer’s controversial twerk-fest with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards found its zeitgeist moment.
Snaps of Justin, shirted and shirtless, surfaced earlier this month during one of “Lolly” shoot days. The teen star was seen in another photo staring intently at a set monitor and reportedly assisted with visuals on the video.
The “Lolly” preview is stylized as a huge movie production before cutting to a riot of high color and a dance set, where a young, funky troop go through their paces amid edits of Bieber, Juicy J, and Ali in solo profiles.
Described by Rap-Up as a journey to Candyland, that’s exactly what a brief glimpse of the musical mayhem in the trailer looks like — no doubt intended.
In his Twitter spree, Justin announced he would also be guesting in Beer’s video for her upcoming single “Melodies,” which drops on September 10.
Meanwhile, the “Baby” singer is gearing up to promote his upcoming “Believe” movie-docu, which is directed by Never Say Never and G.I. Joe Retaliation helmer, Jon M. Chu.
The movie arcs Justin’s Believe world tour and is expected to contain candid footage and continue his ‘story’ from the $98 million grossing 2011 concert-movie.
Braun, Chu, and Bieber, revealed they gave an interview on Saturday as part of the movie-docu.
In addition, a rough cut of the film was screened yesterday to around 160 fans under a waiver and select buyers at a secret showing at the Toronto International Film Festival hosted by sales and distribution film company, IM Global.

As well as telling his over 44 million Twitter followers to support “Lolly” and “Melodies,” Bieber and Chu asked fans to submit online questions as if they were interviewing the teen star in a “no holds barred completely honest real conversation.”
Judging by the questions already pouring in, the floodgates are well and truly open.
What would guys ask @justinbieber if u were interviewing him tomorrow in a no holds barred completely honest real conversation?

@jonmchu @justinbieber I would ask him what it’s like to be just Justin, not Justin Bieber the superstar.
