Benedict Cumberbatch To Be Honored At The BAFTA L.A. Britannia Awards
British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is quickly becoming a very popular leading man, and he will be recognized for his efforts at the British Academy For Film and Television Arts Los Angeles Britannia Awards.
The actor has been quickly becoming into one of the most sought after names by movie studios not only in his native England but in the United States as well.
As many of his fellow Brits, Cumberbatch is a film, television, and theater actor who has made a name taking on a variety of main stream and indie films as well as television roles during his stellar career.
Some of his best known performances are for Atonement in 2007 alongside Keira Knightley, Amazing Grace in 2006, and War Horse and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in 2011.
Cumberbatch has established himself as one of the best British actors of recent years, which is a feat in it of itself since there are so many talented Brits.
He starred in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness earlier in the year.
Benedict Cumberbatch has also had successful television runs with Parade’s End in 2012 and his continuing role of Sherlock Holmes in the television series Sherlock.
2013 will see Cumberbatch reach new heights with several high profile films including The Fifth Estate the story of the rise and fall of Julian Assange the founder of Wikileaks in which he portrays Assange himself.
He will also star in 12 Years A Slave, based on an incredible true story of one man’s fight for survival and freedom.

Benedict Cumberbatch has been named British Artist of the Year and is keeping good company. Past recipients include Daniel Craig, Kate Winslet, Tilda Swinton, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Blunt, Michael Sheen, and Rachel Weisz.
Benedict Cumberbatch will receive the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Award during a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on November 9. BBC America will broadcast the show on November 10.
