‘Transformers 4’ Official Title Possibly Leaked
Transformers 4‘s official title may have been leaked.
The next title in Michael Bay’s less-than-critically-acclaimed film series about giant alien robots could be a false ending, according to a possible title the film may have. Of course, echoes of the past can’t help but taint what this film may turn out to be.
According to internet domain hunter Fusible, Michael Bay‘s latest in the Transformers series could use such title suffixes as Apocalypse, Last Stand, and Future Cast. Transformers 4 official website registrar MarkMonitor recently acquired the rights to all three followups to the official title.
Now this could mean that all three of these titles are going to be names in the new trilogy, as last year it was announced that the series would be a reboot trilogy along the lines of what J.J. Abrams did with Star Trek. We doubt the series will go back in time, though.
Transformers 4 could be seeing shadows of bad luck with its new villain Kelsey Grammer if the title for the film ends up being Last Stand. The last time that combination came along, it was X-Men‘s descent into its worst films in the story.
Apocalypse brings to mind another movie series which ended up going bad after too many sequels. Resident Evil‘s fourth film was one of its worst, and we can only hope the same luck doesn’t extend to Transformers, especially after Revenge of the Fallen.
Future Cast seems a bit strange, though a cast is something used to shape molten metal, something robots are known to be composed of. Otherwise it seems more like the document heading to a casting call for the rest of the new trilogy.
Transformers 4 is due to hit theaters next summer and star Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, Han Geng and Titus Welliver.
