Clint Eastwood And Wife Dina Separate After 17 Years [Report]
Clint Eastwood and his wife Dina Eastwood (nee Ruiz) have separated after 17 years of marriage.
Dina Eastwood, a former TV news reporter, told Us Weekly that she and the Gran Torino star remain close, but have been living separately for some time.
However, Clint Eastwood’s manager said, “I know nothing about that” when asked about the split.
The couple married in March 31, 1996, three years after Dina Eastwood interviewed him. After the wedding, she said, “The fact that I am only the second woman he has married really touches me.” Clint Eastwood said of his wife, “As far as I’m concerned, this is the woman I like monogamy with.” The couple have one daughter together, 16-year-old Morgan.
Clint Eastwood has seven other children by five women, although he has only been married once before. He was married to Maggie Johnson on December 19, 1953, six months after they met on a blind date. Eastwood said he believed they married too early.
During a trial separation a decade later, Eastwood had an affair with dancer Roxane Tunis, who gave birth to his first child, Kimber Tunis. He did not acknowledge his first-born child until 1996, seven years after she revealed her identity to the Globe.
He then had two children with Johnson, Kyle and Alison Eastwood, but was not present at either birth. Johnson filed for legal separation in 1978, and the couple officially divorced in May 1984.
Eastwood’s other children include Scott and Kathryn Reeves (with flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, with whom he had an affair while living with actress Sondra Locke) and Francesca Fisher-Eastwood (with Unforgiven co-star Frances Fisher). Francesca appeared with Dina and Morgan Eastwood on the E! reality series Mrs. Eastwood & Company. The series lasted for one season in 2012.
The Eastwoods aren’t the only celebrity couple to separate this week. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones separated after 13 years of marriage earlier this week. The couple hadn’t been seen in public together since April 22 at the 40th Annual Chaplin Award Gala in New York City.
