Hilary Duff Planning New EDM-Infused Album
Hilary Duff might be a busy mom at the moment, but she clearly hasn’t lost the desire to keep her music career alive.
During a recent Q&A session hosted by the folks at Twitter, the former Lizzie McGuire star revealed that she’s currently putting together a brand new collection of tunes. Since electronic dance music (EDM) is all the rage these days, the singer said she intended to incorporate that sound into the songs.
“I’m exploring a lot of cool options and don’t want to give a timeline yet but I promise exciting stuff is coming. I’m super into EDM. Definitely catchy hooks I’ve always cared a lot about lyrics and love to dance,” Hilary Duff explained.
The singer released her first album Santa Claus Lane back in 2002. This musical endeavor was followed by Metamorphosis in 2003 and a self-titled album in 2004. Although she released a greatest hits compilation in 2008, her last official effort was 2007’s Dignity.
Over the years, Duff has sold a phenomenal amount of records. Her discography has moved more than eight million copies, an accomplishment that few artists can claim. With Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus dominating the charts, it will be interesting to see if the singer will enjoy a successful comeback.
Hilary Duff confirmed earlier this month that she was itching to return to the studio to record some new music. The singer, actress, and humanitarian revealed her plans during a Fiji Water event in the Hamptons.
“I’m going to focus on my music. It’s been a long time coming. I’m finally buckling down and getting in the studio. I really miss touring. I really miss connecting with my fans in that way,” she explained.
Unfortunately, Hilary Duff hasn’t announced a release date for her new EDM-infused album. Chances are it could land in the laps of eager fans around the world next year.
