Lamar Odom Intervention: Khloe Kardashian, Friends Confront NBA Player
Lamar Odom has been confronted by Khloe Kardashian and a group of friends at a Los Angeles hotel in an intervention aimed at helping the former NBA star kick his drug habit.
Reports on Monday said that Odom had gone missing, with friends and family unable to locate him for several days and fearing he was on a drug bender. A rep for the family shot down the reports, saying that Odom was “doing fine,” but other reports seem to conflict with that news.
TMZ reports that Lamar Odom has been fighting a drug addiction for the past two years, and recently relapsed into using. There were also reports that his wife Khloe Kardashian tried her own intervention, but had no success in getting Lamar to stop using.
Reports said Khloe then kicked Lamar out of the house, which led to him going missing for 72 hours.
But on Monday, Khloe took to Twitter to shoot down rumors that have circulated regarding the couple. For several week reports have circulated that Lamar Odom cheated on her with at least two women and that the couple was on the verge of divorce.
A source told Hollywood Life that source of all the rumors goes back to Lamar’s drug use.
“She’s totally embarrassed because everyone thinks Lamar has been cheating and that she hasn’t been able to give him a baby. But in reality he’s been doing drugs and she hasn’t wanted to start a family with him while he’s like that. She’s never been able to tell everyone the truth because she’s been protecting him.”

Reports on Monday afternoon said that it was more than just Khloe Kardashian trying to help Lamar Odom pull out of his drug spiral. ESPN reported that a number of friends met him at a Los Angeles hotel to show their concern and get him into rehab.
