Jane Lynch’s Ex Asks For Spousal Support
We haven’t heard much from Jane Lynch’s soon-to-be ex-wife Lara Embry since the pair decided to split. Now things seem to be heating up a bit for the two, and not in a good way either.
People magazine is reporting that Embry is asking spousal support from the Glee star. It is said that Lynch has been fighting to end the court’s jurisdiction to award any kind of spousal support to her ex. Embry’s request for spousal report was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
When the news came out in July that the two were splitting after only two years of marriage, Lynch publicly made a statement:
“Lara and I have decided to end our marriage. This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another.”
It’s been a busy summer for Lynch, as she had a run on Broadway playing Miss Hannigan in Annie: The Musical. Days after she announced the split, her Glee co-star Cory Monteith tragically died from a drug overdose. Both news stories were on the heels of the actress celebrating her fifty-third birthday.
However, there is some good news for Lynch. Her new show on NBC Celebrity Game Night, which debuted this summer, is doing pretty decent numbers in the ratings. It was reported that the show, which features celebrities competing against each other in a home-styled game show format, is being renewed for a second season. Celebrities that have appeared on the first season include, Kristin Bell, Rose Byrne, Nick Cannon, Kristin Chenoweth, Minnie Driver, Patricia Heaton, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Amy Poehler, Martin Short and Jason Sudeikis.
Currently Jane Lynch is filming the fifth season of Glee. Earlier this week Jane commented on the script for the tribute episode, which will pay homage to her late co-star Cory Monteith. At the time Lynch called the script, “beautiful,” but before she read the episode, she said the experience will probably be “awful” to film.
Let’s hope Jane Lynch has a better year in 2014.
