A 92-year-old Tennessee woman has decided to register to vote for the first time because she worries that the country is going downhill fast.
The candidate that Beada Corum plans to vote for in November 2016 presidential election: none other than Donald Trump .
She voluntarily revealed that information to WVLT, Channel 8, in Knoxville.
About Trump, Corum said that “He’s got a strong mind and he speaks it out just the way he thinks it ought to be.” She apparently believes Trump is a viable candidate for the White House because of his extensive business experience.
Confounding the initial predictions of experts and political pundits, the brash real estate mogul and Celebrity Apprentice star is currently the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. It’s still early in the process, obviously, but several polls confirm that going into Thursday night’s debate on the Fox News Channel, Trump is leading on a national basis with the GOP and GOP-leaning electorate over his closest rivals, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, in a field that includes 17 candidates to date.
Separate polling suggests that Trump is also leading in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Florida, assuming that these polls use appropriate methodology.
Although Donald Trump is now seeking the presidency as a Republican, he has, in the past, himself been a registered Democrat and praised many Democrats (including Obama and the Clintons) and advocated for some of their policies, and made cash contributions to their party, as well as donating to the Clinton Foundation. In prior election cycles, he has flirted with mounting a third-party presidential campaign, as well as considering a 2012 run as the GOP standard-bearer. He has not completely excluded the possibility of a third-party campaign in 2016, either, if he is unable to capture the Republican nomination.
The fact that his political views have not been the complete picture of consistency has, so far, yet to diminish the enthusiasm of many Trump-leaning primary voters, however, who are apparently favoring an aggressive, tough-talking populist candidate rather than a more nuanced professional politician.

Polling data across the country could change rapidly after a lackluster debate showing and/or another gaffe or controversy , but for now, according to a CBS News poll , “Trump appeals to many factions of Republican primary voters. He leads among conservatives, Tea Party supporters, evangelicals and both men and women… Trump and Bush are also seen as the most electable in a general election… Majorities of Republican primary voters nationwide express confidence in Trump, Bush, [Florida Senator Marco] Rubio and Walker to make the right decisions on the economy, illegal immigration and dealing with America’s adversaries.”
In the meantime, a NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll finds a sharp drop in Hillary Clinton’s approval rating amid rumors that VP Joe Biden might challenge Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president, and for the opportunity to oppose Donald Trump or whoever the GOP nominee turns out to be in the 2016 general election.
In an interview with Bill O’Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor , Donald Trump described his perhaps unconventional strategy for the upcoming GOP debate on Fox News.
