Kate Middleton and Prince William sent thank you notes to all those well wishers who included a return address in their congratulations cards on the occasion of the birth of Prince George.
In a move that shows just how much they care about those who took the time to congratulate them the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thanked those who wished them well when their baby was born.
The British publication the Daily Telegraph states that the royals spent significant time answering those who included their return address when writing to them.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were most touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of the birth of their son Prince George,” reads the card. “Their Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by all the wonderful messages they have received and send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.”
A Palace representative added about the thank you notes that Kate Middleton and Prince William are touched and “very grateful for the support and goodwill being expressed at this happy time and wanted to acknowledge the letters and gifts they have received.”
According to the report, the front of the card has the image of the now famous photo of the new family as they left the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London on July 23, the day after the future king was born.
On that day, the family stepped out into public view for the first time introducing the new heir to the British throne to photographers who had been camping out for days waiting for his arrival.
Both Kate and William were wearing blue outfits and the baby was swaddled in a white blanket only showing his face and fidgeting for the pictures.
Kate Middleton has not been seen in public since she and husband, Prince William took their son outside of London, to her family’s home in Bucklebury.
