Kanye West is notoriously media violent shy , but seemed to feel right at home on momager-in-law Kris Jenner’s talk show. The controversial rapper sat down for the season finale of Jenner’s daytime talk show (airing Friday), and uncharacteristically gushed about his baby mama, Kim Kardashian.
West gave fans an unprecedented look into his personal life during the interview , and was surprisingly candid with Jenner. Better still, he was actually coherent for once.
“I could have people saying, ‘This is going to damage your credibility as a artist or as a designer,’ and I say, ‘I don’t care, I love this woman,’” he said, admitting to the difficulty of dating the reality TV star.
“… I’m saying I’m being with this person because, you know, I love this person. She’s worth it to me… she’s my joy, and she brought my new joy into the world, and there’s no paparazzi, no blog comment, and there’s nothing that’s gonna take that joy from me.”
Ye also fell short of pulling a Tom Cruise , referencing the actor’s infamous couch-hopping moment years back.
“I just dreamed about being next to her, and any time I could… I don’t know, I keep saying it, but, I don’t want to start jumping up and down on the couch,” he jokes.
E! News reports that the show will also mark the first official appearance of Kanye West’s daughter… sort of. He shows a picture of baby North West, who has been nicknamed “Nori” by the new parents.
