Bradley Cooper Rumored For Guardians Of The Galaxy Role
Bradley Cooper is rumored to be up for a role in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Slither director’s upcoming Marvel movie already has a number of A-list actors and actresses attached to star. According to reports, Gunn is strongly considering Cooper for a very choice role in the big-budget feature.
If recent rumors are to be believed, then Bradley Cooper could end up voicing Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy. As of this writing, he’s the only character who hasn’t found an actor. All of the other parts are presently covered.
News about Cooper’s involvement with the flick first arrived on Latino Review. The website quoted sources from England who believe the Silver Linings Playbook star is the only person who was offered the role. However, the actor has yet to make a decision on the matter.
Although reports about the casting are flying all over the place at the moment, it’s worth noting that no one from Marvel, Disney, or Cooper’s camp have confirmed anything about the rumor. Remember when Joseph Gordon-Levitt was reportedly up for the role of Dr. Strange? That was debunked within a few hours.
At this moment in time Guardians of the Galaxy will feature Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot. Since Gunn feels that Rocket Raccoon is an important part of the film, he’s taking his time finding the right actor.
“It’s about creating a character that’s a little animal that’s taken and experimented on, pulled apart and put back together again and implanted with cybernetics. He’s half machine and half raccoon and he’s a little gnarled, miserable pretty angry creature because there’s nothing else like him and that’s not easy to be,” the director previously said about the character.
Do you believe Bradley Cooper is the right guy to play Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy? Who would you like to see tackle the role?
