‘Anchorman 2’ Screens In California, Twitter Seems Impressed
Several lucky individuals were able to score tickets to a test screening of director Adam McKay’s highly-anticipated comedy Anchorman 2 earlier this week in California.
It’s been nine long years since Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy hit theaters across the US. Although quite a bit of time has passed since the film’s release, fans apparently still love Ron Burgundy and his quirky team with an undying passion.
Since the press was not invited to the Anchorman 2 screening, all of the Twitter responses you’re about to read come directly from folks who have a genuine interest in the sequel. Judging from their comments, the follow-up is just as stupidly classy as the original.
After years of false starts and studio rejection, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell finally got the sequel off the ground. In addition to bringing back most of the original players, the follow-up features a handful of new faces and more celebrity cameos than a Muppets movie.
Joining the fun for this adventure are Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Dylan Baker, Greg Kinnear, Harrison Ford, and Nicole Kidman. Everyone from Kanye West to Tina Fey should appear at one point or another during the feature. Fortunately, no one on Twitter coughed up any nasty spoilers during their reviews.
A handful of Anchorman 2 Twitter reactions are embedded below. Keep in mind that your own experience may differ greatly from those who saw the flick early.
I just saw a screening of Anchorman 2 and i’ll tell you they did not screw it up. Just as outrageous and riotously funny as the first.

Anchorman 2 was everything I expected and more. Definitely lives up to the first one with way more surprises.

So anchorman 2 made the original anchorman look stupid. That’s all I’m saying.
