True Blood Creator Reveals Alexander Skarsgard’s Future
Now that we all got over seeing Alexander Skarsgard’s naked body during the epic episode of True Blood, it leaves a really important question. Will there be no Eric Northman on True Blood? That’s what a lot of fans are asking after seeing what could be Eric’s last scene on the show. However, True Blood isn’t exactly a show that’s grounded in reality, so those of you fans who are fretting about your weekly fix of Skarsgard, or lack thereof, can put the tissues down.
TV Line spoke with creator Brian Buckner to see if Eric Northman will make it into the next season of True Blood. It looks like that’s a definite yes, but it’s unknown whether or not he will come back as his true form.
Bruckner said about Alexander Skarsgard’s appearance in season 7 of True Blood:
“I can tell you that Alexander Skarsgard is going to be a part of the next season of True Blood. He will be a series regular. I’m not going to take Alex Skarsgard out of people’s living rooms.”
When asked about whether or not Eric will be a fit bill of health, Buckner had this to say:
“No. That would be a cheat, wouldn’t it? That would be an incredible cheat. Pam has gone off in search of Eric, and maybe she’s going to be the one to find him, y’know?”
For those of you who aren’t aware, Eric’s fateful scene took place after Warlow’s death. This had a direct effect on Eric because his blood was no longer affecting the vampires, and so bodacious Eric reading a book on top of the mountains in Sweden became Eric hopping along on fire.
When The Inquisitr’s Niki Cruz asked for details involving Eric’s death, Skarsgard replied: “I obviously can’t say!”
