Lee Thompson Young Dead: Rizzoli & Isles Actor Mourned On Twitter
Lee Thompson Young, the actor best known for playing The Famous Jett Jackson on Disney and Detective Barry Frost on Rizzoli & Isles, was found dead in his North Hollywood home on Monday morning.
An official cause of death has not been released by Young’s manager Paul Baruch said that the actor committed suicide.
Baruch said: “Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends as this very difficult time.”
Young may be best known for playing Jet Jackson but the actor had a successful career long after his Disney Days. Young was in the movie Friday Night Lights and was currently working on the drama Rizzoli & Isles.
Yahoo News reports that Young’s body was found shortly after the actor failed to come into work on the TNT drama on Monday morning.
TNT, Warner Bros. and Rizzoli & Isles producer Janet Tamaro released a joint statement, saying: “We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of this sweet, gentle, good-hearted, intelligent man…. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him, both on- and offscreen, for his positive energy, infectious smile and soulful grace.”
Lee Thompson Young’s fans also took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the Jett Jackson actor.
