Seth MacFarlane has revealed that release date for Ted 2, confirming via his Twitter page that they are currently aiming for April 2015.
MacFarlane wrote, directed, and starred as the titular foul-mouthed, boozer opposite Mark Wahlberg is the r-rated comedy.
It went on to become one of 2012’s most successful movies.
The former Oscars host’s film eventually grossed over $500 million across the world, from a budget of just $50 million.
Earlier this year, MacFarlane confirmed that everyone involved in the original movie was keen to make a sequel, which means that Wahlberg and Mila Kunis were looking to reprise their roles.
However, at the time, he confirmed that “it has not been officially signed off on yet.”
MacFarlane seems to have changed his tune though now, and he released a tweet that confirmed that the follow-up was currently in the works.

The Jewish festival of Passover will run from the night of April 3, before it ultimately ends in the evening of April 11 in 2015. So, clearly MacFarlane is aiming to release the comedy sequel at some point in early April
Before then though MacFarlane is currently hard at work on the follow-up to Ted, A Million Ways To Die.
The comedy western is set to be released on May 30, 2014, and will star Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman, Amanda Seyfried, and Liam Neeson, each of whom will appear alongside MacFarlane.
MacFarlane recently confirmed that he wont be hosting the Oscars this year, while he has also been romantically linked to Alexis Knapp, who starred in Pitch Perfect.
