Want to see the Bill Gates trailer for the upcoming Gates biopic? You haven’t been tortured enough by the Jobs movie hoopla? You need to see more about computer nerds and dweebs living large on film?
Hit that button and check out the official trailer for the proposed Bill Gates biography.
Hmm. Of course by official I mean Official Comedy — the name of the crew that directed, filmed, and produced the new parody trailer.
I’m not sure if even Bill Gates himself was ever as dweebie as star Ryan Williams. The footage is either funny or excruciating. Maybe both.
But if you’re bored to tears by the mass-produced buzz about Jobs, the new Ashton Kutcher biopic released this weekend, the Bill Gates parody trailer is probably a welcome source of chuckles.
I’ll be the first to admit I was tired of Jobs without even seeing it. Kutcher has gotten a bit too far into the role of Steve Jobs for my taste, even giving a speech partly in the character at the recent Teen Choice Awards.
The 35-year-old actor didn’t spare us any of the usual canned clichés. “I never quit my job until I had my next job” and “The sexiest thing in the world was being really smart” were two examples of Ashton/Jobs wisdom.
Sorry, guys, probably the sexiest thing in the world is air-headed Ryan Gosling. But anyway…
Some people like that kind of rah-rah stuff. Feel free to check it out if you haven’t already seen the now viral video.
You don’t have to hate on self-proclaimed fraud and grandpa Ashton Kutcher just because I did.
Honestly, though, I’m glad to see that somebody else thinks that nerds offering life advice can be pretty hilarious.
What do you think of the Official Comedy fake movie trailer for a Bill Gates biopic?
