Lisa Robin Kelly, the former star of That ’70s Show, passed away yesterday at the Pax Rehab House in Altadena, California. Kelly had a history with substance abuse, but authorities do not know if drugs played a role in her death. Officials are currently calling her death “a mystery.”
TMZ reports that Kelly was not taking any withdrawal drugs at the time she died. There were also no signs of drugs or alcohol in her room and no signs of physical trauma.
The L.A. County Coroner and the County Sheriff’s homicide department went to the Pax Rehab House on Thursday afternoon to investigate the scene.
An autopsy is being planned to determine the cause of death.
Kelly had been in and out of rehab over the years (more than a dozen times) for various issues. Her boyfriend brought Kelly to the hospital on Sunday night where she registered a.34 blood alcohol level.
She was admitted to Pax shortly after for alcohol abuse.
The Inquisitr reported earlier that Lisa Robin Kelly died in her sleep on Thursday night.
Her agent said: “Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years. I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle.”
