Iron Man 3 Gag Reel Released [Video]
Iron Man 3’s gag reel from the production of the third film has appeared online, and it shows the likes of Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow fluffing their lines repeatedly.
You can watch the clip above, and it shows Downey Jr struggling with his lines, laughing and playing around on set, and even deploying a strange English accent to get through his mistakes.
The clip also sees Downey Jr break into a dance, chastise his Iron Man suit and call it “crappy,” whilst Ty Simpkins, who plays Harley, Tony Stark’s sidekick during the film, also breaks down in laughter while filming too.
Downey Jr was the highest paid actor of the last year thanks to his performance as Tony Stark in both Iron Man 3 and The Avengers, earning around $75 million for his work on the films.
Iron Man 3 is currently the fifth highest grossing move of all time, and it managed to amass over $1.2 billion at the cinemas across the world. Downey Jr has since signed on to reprise the role of Tony Stark in The Avengers 2 and The Avengers 3, however it is still unknown whether he will return for another solo outing for the character.
Recently, Wahlberg told Yahoo! Movies that he would like to replace Robert Downey Jr in the role. He explained, “I would like to take over the Iron Man franchise for Robert Downey, [but] it’s one of those things where I kind of like playing real people, [so] I’ve never been asked.”
Downey Jr will next be seen as Tony Stark in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, where he will reconvene with the likes of Thor, Captain America and Hawkeye, which is set to be filmed in London next year before it is finally released on May 1, 2015.
