Cronut Burger: It Was Only A Matter Of Time
Take New York City’s newest craze, the cronut, and add a burger and you have the cronut burger.
The new delicacy is topped with a maple bacon-jam and debuted at this year’s Canadian National Exhibition.
The CNE is known for debuting some of the most outrageous foods on the planet. The festival has included such greats as deep-fried butter, a donut meets cheeseburger pairing, and even BLT sandwiches that incorporate Nutella spread and back-bacon.
The Canadian National exhibition isn’t just home to strange foods; it also includes various traditional foods and snacked from various vendors.
If you want to check out the cronut burger, it will be on display from August 16 to September 2. The festival draws in more than one million hungry visitors.
In the meantime, lines are still forming around the block in New York City where chef Dominique Ansel created the craze. The cronut is so popular that actress Emma Roberts was denied the delicacy when her representative tried to skip the long line at Dominique Ansel Bakery.
With only a handful of cronuts manufactured daily, the cronut burger might be your best chance at getting your hands on the delicacy in the short term.
